Thanks Dick, just noodling around.
I've been laying off the tying, but a couple times a week I want to sit down and do some. So I deploy my "Repositionable Tying Facility," and whip out a few.
The glass bead body has intrigued me since I first saw it on a stonefly imitation. I look forward to seeing if it performs as expected.

Nice tie McScruff. Looks like your getting that hackle down too.

Sean,
This is fashioned on the English form for a wet soft hackle fly.
But here Ive used glass bead for the body and head, as opposed to the usual yarn and thread.
This will make it sink pretty quick and so get down in the water column.

Google, "north country spider" or "wingless wet fly" and you'll get the basic concept. From there, just take note of the alternate materials used in construction.

Thanks men.
I've also tied these in golden yellow.
