Late Season Blue Crab Fishing North Carolina Style….10/3/2021

Catching dinner again this afternoon….with water temperatures falling the crabs are migrating to their wintering spot…..they will bury in the river bed once water temperatures reach 50 degrees and won’t come out until the water temperatures rise to 50 in the Spring…..l

Yes Bruce……they have to be large enough to prevent the biggest crab from pinching anything they can reach….not made very well but less than ten bucks….I hit mine with an extra coat of rustoleum to extend their use around salt water….notice the crab trying to reach out and pinch in this photo….
