That grip on this rod is called a FULL WELLS and are still used today mainly on either custom rods or some heavier weight rods for 6 weights and up......

Don't know what style that cork grip is but its very comfortable .The rod has spinning rod guides on it .A friend gave it to me ,his ex father in law gave it to him . I feel so guilty I just got to use it to feel better.
