Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Three species ( CR,BG,YP) ,first time doing that fly fishing.Popper and Beaded nymphs' . Another 1st was a Crappie on a popper .

Thanks Dick the RBS are pretty .Small in the rivers I fish but will hit poppers with aggression .

Dick ,Next stop is the river for RB Sunfish .Had fun with them last year in August.

I used to build and fly RC planes also. Expensive hobby!

I gave up a micro hobby, sometime back. I used to build and fly model planes, but
took up fishing when I inherited all my dads stuff.
I have missed a sit down hobby, ever since, and fly tying
ought to fulfill that desire.
Knowing Greg's prowess at catching, I'm betting those Jersey
gills won't know what hit em... fahgeddaboudit!!

I have tied a few of these beaded nymphs but no foam bugs or flies really yet . That's coming in my future I guess . I got some Greg Mc Williams flies that are so nicely done I want to see many bluegill mangle them so I can get back to him and tell him proudly the Gills love to kill his creations.

Having now given in to the Dark Side, and tried tying flies....
Well, any brother that makes a gift of his flies is a saint!
