Steve, That could be any on of 150 strip pits in Cherokee, county Kansas. Kansas Dept. of Wildlife took over the pits and have stocked them with Gill, Red ear, bass, Crappie and catfish. There are ove 250 pits in the 2 South east counties of Kansas. This one is one of the older ones by the look of the trees at the waters edge.
