Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Tooty has been wondering where I went, so I went to a new, but old pond this evening and caught about a dozen on redworms....fishing was good in NC today! Gentlemen, can you tell me which species of Bluegill these are?

HEY LORI GLAD TO HEAR FROM YA !!!! LOOKS LIKE A LIGHT COLORED REGULAR GILL TO ME . NO faint markings in red on the ear tab and if DR. BRUCE says its' a female northern strain you can almost take that to the bank.

I know you are busy and like me, there are lots of old retired dudes on here with nothing better to do than pester people and look at pics !
