WOW! Such great detailed photo. Will keep it for future reference. The "WOW" still ring in my wife's and my heads.

Thanks, 2lbgill. Yes, this fish is a cross between a male Bluegill, and a female Green Sunfish.

Here's one that shows the differences between a male and female hybrid, for anyone who might not be sure. The top pic is the male, and the bottom, while most definitely female, is so strikingly different that I feel it may be a second generation hybrid, (F2), or perhaps a reverse cross.

That hybrid is a sensational fish! Body dynamics are way up there!

The hybrid was 9.75" long, 1/2 oz shy of a pound.

The native was 8", I didn't get a weight on her.
