Dick... I am very blessed to have six ponds within a half hours drive of my house that have produced bluegills, hybrids and redears over 10 inches. Throw in about 4 -5 public lakes that I keep quiet about and the trophy bluegill supply is pretty good here in Corn Country! We have access to several 'new' ponds that have 7 to 8.5 inch gills in abundance, so we usually harvest some of those for the table.
