We have a population boom on crickets right now.  Literally hundreds, if not thousands, of crickets can be found in certain parts of town, usually a gas station of large parking lot where the lights are left on all night long.

I might have to tie some GFA Foam Hoppers in all black, to imitate the crickets.

tried em yesterday got lots of strikes but only hooked 2.going with size 12 light wire hook.these are size 10 mustad straight eye sproat,which are wonderful hooks and my ebay supplier sells 200 for about 5.00 including shipping,so they are cheap.maybe aberdeens .the 12s i use for my poppers were a little small and i was crowding the hook.i sell  flies too so i have to keep production in mind as iwill probably tie at least 60 of these for startes now that i know they work.
