How are you treating the arm Eric? Constant Aloe treatments should help a lot .

 I was in charge of putting water on the fire, the fire pit had a platform around it about 4 inches higher than the rest of the ground, I was talking to someone stumbled on the platform and my arm landed right on the metal fire pit ring.
