Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

A few years ago, some will recall my first grand child was born. He'll be two next month, and today was his first foray to the pond. The first trip was, well, uneventful... No fish caught.

But we managed a shot of Jeremy holding Papas fly rod.
An inauspicious beginning? Perhaps.
But a lifetime of fishing fun and reflection is ahead, if I have anything to do with it.

He hung real well, Allen. He stood where I showed him and he didnt fidget. He was also impressed with Papas "bugs" casting out, and then "popping" on the surface. He was mesmerized by that.

Oh wow, patient at that age!  I bet he really enjoyed time with Grandpa!

I think this pic should be featured!

Thanks, fellas. He was with us all week, due to a scheduling change. I took the week off to spend time with him.

He is a smart little whip and he very patiently stuck by the fishing. I see potential....
