Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Got a few hours in a cold rain this morning along the coastal marsh........finally got chased by increasing winds and heavy down pours.........these fish were suspended in 48 degree surface temps........

Thanks John.......I felt rushed this morning with weather closing in from the west.....I decided to start near bottom in sixteen feet of water but had no takers there.......I worked my way up the drop off as fish were marking at eight to ten feet.......shortly after moving my jigs up the first crappie took my minnow tipped jig.............I soon realized that jigging my presentation at eight feet  was the trick as this generated the most strikes.....our water temps remain mild as we have only been 32 degrees or below just twice with 60s in the forecast several days this week........I'm excited about some holiday season fishing this year!
