That's one dedicated effort to land the gil in windy condition. We're considered as blessed to land anything at all during windy days, especially for us floaters.

I am realizing more and more how aggressive Bluegills ,both Male and Female ,and White Perch can be over other pannies like Crappie,Yellow Perch and Largemouth Bass .Last evening proved it again!

Thanks Vince .I started out motoring against the wind to get down the lake  to the deeper spots and thought I'd drift with a drift sock and drag baits .I did just that but the wind still moved the boat and baits too quickly!  I am seriously considering a 2nd drift sock which would be a  hassel in the boat alone but with a pal it may be a necessity.Opened up the motor prop ,it's fine .Time for a new battery !

Boat control in high winds is tough. That gill didn't seem to mind though. Way to catch 'em John!!

Thanks Jeffrey I gotta open up my electric Motor to see if theres weeds or line stuck in there .It was running lousy last night whe I needed the power .It might just be I need a new battery .I dont think its holding the charge much anymore. It was dissapointing but I drew on experience of fishing the Wall where the wind blows to .Works everytime! The white Perch and Gills were feeding!
