Jeffrey , when I was a kid we called them 'Calico Bass' . I believe that is an old New England moniker for Crappie. I think I got, 'Calico' , from my mom ,when I was a young boy and she was from Worchester Massachusetts . "Paper mouth " I came across much later in life.
