Do you love big bluegill?
Cold day for fishing yesterday! Temps in the low 40s and a stout wind blowing so I grabbed the spinning outfit instead of the fly rod. Baited up with a waxworm and caught one small crappie before I decided I'd had all the fun I could stand for one day.
They stocked trout in the lake recently, but the rains have it so muddy (too thick to drink, but too thin to plow) the trout seem to be having a hard time finding the bait. I did catch a few that had gone over the spillway Saturday (forgot my camera) fishing swift water with an ice jig tipped with a waxworm using the fly rod.
