Leo, the pond is pretty small, about 1/4 acre or so. And, Jim, on occasion we'll, after perch fishing or something, we'll throw the extra emerald shiners in the pond for whatever wants to eat them. It's pretty fun to watch the fish chase the shiners around as everything from bass, to bluegill, end even the pumpkinseed chase after the minnows. But as far as pellet feeding goes, my grandpa bought a bag probably 7 or 8 years ago and we haven't got any more since.

Outstanding hyb! Is this an 'un-managed' pond, that is, one that does not benefit from the use of supplemental feeding. Or are these fish just getting big on what the pond can provide?

That is one chunk of a hybrid! Congrats on your catch, Adam.
