Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Our local Water temps have dipped into the upper 40s and will continue to descend from here......tipped with live grass shrimp or crickets for best results.......I did put out some crawfish traps to catch this year's hatch for cold water tipping......I like to use the tail for a protein tidbit and all fish love them......

You can also use fresh or frozen shrimp.

Thanks guys......Ken many factors come into play when choosing the length........surrounding canopy.....fishing depth......etc......If I could only chose one it would be a 12 footer but I use ten footers often for great tense battles and fish all the way up to 16 footers to go deep in the winter.........I just enjoy this style of fishing............
