When the water drops just a little on the Santee Cooper lakes in South Carolina, you could see these shell beds and you could set up on them for Shellcrackers as Tony Alexander is suggesting for another great body of water in South Carolina.....Lake Murray

Many locals will use or tip their baits with these clams and snails. This is a proven method in this area. Exposed sand bars throughout the lake allow anglers to catch enough for bait.
