I got my stuff for tying these, Chris. I tie one of these to every 6 Briminators off the vise.
These two are part of my Big Five for this year.

Thanks for that Chris. I know the pattern, it just seems like each source has their own name for things.

Thanks guys! Scruff it is called Mylar tubing, and I got it from Jann's net craft. This fly is super simple to make, the hardest part is probably getting the materials, which isn't very hard haha. Thread base, tie in bead chain eyes, tie in chenille at the back then pull forward and loop around an eye then tie down at the the previous tie down point then repeat over the other eye. Fray one end do tubing then slip the middle of the piece over the eye of hook. Tie the frayed end on the bottom of the hook and then the other end of tubing along the top, making sure to tie down at the same point as the chenille.cut the ends of tubing to length then fray it up. Secure thread then clip off. Start a few wraps at the nose and make a small thread cone and secure thread and clip. Then put head cement or super glue or in my case I put Clear Cure Goo over the thread wraps and the tubing.
