you can get them on ebay for reel cheap john tons for sale.i only have one a martin and broke the tip off a rod cause i over winded it.i could see using one in a boat as they pick the line up fast,i heard the garcia is the best auto if you can find one.
Thanks for the reply Dick .
Carl loves his Perrine reels, wished I had a couple. They are all automatic John.
Are they all automatics Carl ? What model and weights do you have ? I'd like to get an automatic Perrine or maybe a Pflueger.
I STILL LOVE MY LITTLE PERRINE REELS !! WONT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE !
the reel is 5/6 wt CGR2
have a couple fenwicks along with many other vintage glass.a medalist fits fine on an old fenwick.probably a 5wt at least.the CGR rods are modern glass and can be had on sale for 50 bucks.the new eagle claws are less than 30.i have beached,i had no net,a 20lb plus carp on a 5wt with a simple reel.gills and crappies are a blast on a 3wt but a 5 will get you out farther.the old medalists are work horses
