Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

1/32 ounce, head and humpback* painted with rainbow glitter nail polish.
Marabou "junk" feather from the scrap heap.
Brown rubber legs.

What do you jig gurus think - will this dog hunt?

* the "humpback" is the barb on the jig, intended to hold soft plastics in position. I forgot to cut it off before starting...

In a manner of speaking, Allen, yes.
I got a good deal on a new pontube, aka, frameless pontoon.
Plus a good friend gave me a personal framed pontoon boat. It needs a minor repair, but O can handle that. Finally, I'm working on another hard boat deal which I hope works out.

Scruff, do you have a boat in your future?

Jeff, I hope so. I'll be tubing this season, so we shall see.

i think people fish too slow.you want them to hit when its moving.if they feel the weight they will spit it.think of a panicked crawdad ,minnow etc

That should be a really good jig for Bluegill and Redears or any fish that eats bottom dwelling bugs and crawdads.

Cool Jim, that'll be awesome!
You know I've never done jack with jigs. I've tried them several ways, but nuttin.
Perhaps once I get off the bank this season, I can hook up.
