Losing a big Bass on a Rapala as a kid is a re-occurring nightmare . But hooking it  and seeing it jump and throw the hook is a pleasant memory!

Yup, drill into them and add some weight to make them neutrally-bouyant.  Nowadays you can buy them weighted to do that.  I love X-Raps, for that reason.  Too bad they're $$$$$

I think a classic F5, in Silver/Black, belongs in everyone's tacklebox.  Bigger ones, if you're after bigger predators.  I may have to get one of those F11's to target Pike with.

I love rippin Rapalas over weedy flats for Bass and Pickerel Jeff .I guess my favorite is the 3 hook F-11 but intend to use the slow sinking Shadow Rap more this year .I have caught a few fish on that lure . I like the Jointed ones in shallow water when the bass are there .There is a Blue backed Rebel in the bottom  box that i found that's been killer through the years too.Someone drilled and glued a split shot  into it .An old 80's practice I believe!

These are cool........I won several amateur bass tournaments back in the early 80s using these.......my favorite jerk bait of all time is the "husky" silver and black......
