Justin I use spin casting gear or telescopic poles most often.....This fish was caught on a spin casting rig.....

Another great solid fish Jeffrey. All I could muster up was 8 inch gills I think the biggest was 8 1/2 inches.

Thanks John.....these brackish water rivers are some of the best public waters anywhere......The White Perch fishing is awesome here as well.....they are not classified as a game fish so people routinely catch a 100, 150 at a time on beetle spins and the like......Right now on the Chowan River a little west of me they are catching pound/pound and a half average White Perch.......
