Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The males like this one are starting to get the black blotches on their sides. In a couple weeks or so they'll start getting the bright red on their chests and backs.

Thanks, guys!  Carl, so far it's looking like they have a growth rate that may even rival or outdo coppernose.  I definitely don't have enough data yet to say for sure, but the early returns are highly promising.

Thanks, Tony!  Jeff, I raise them to sell.  So far we've stocked them in ponds in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Georgia. Arkansas is next, along with several more Tennessee ponds.

Walt, are these fish from your pond?  I sure would like to see their spawning colors, all that red.
