I agree Jim....I'll fight through whatever Mother Nature throws at me to have a chance to catch a panfish.....Just wish we had a larger concentration of Northern Strain to help get through February.....Coppernose pick back up in mid to late March around the Albemarle Sound region of North Carolina....
Jeffrey good going. sometime's it pays to fish in the elements. I remember many day's in N.C. on Lake Norman in Dec through February cold fishing but if you can hang in there and fish the elements it may pay off with a nice mess of fish. In our case it was usually Crappies.
And there's really nothing wrong with 8.5 inch gills in the middle of the winter...good job!
