Gorgeous looking fish definitely a nice Hybrid Jim.
Nate has some really big hybs in his recent blogs from this year and when he had InFisherman's Steve Ryan out for a trip for photos. I believe those fish are also on a feeding program.
Agreed, Mr. Condello's HBG is the biggest I have seen, and I also feel it surely hit the magical 2 lb. mark.
It sticks in my mind that Nate Herman may have produced some awfully close to that.....
We have taken an 11 7/8 and a 11 3/4 inch hyb from this 2 acre pond, both during extreme heat, along with a host of other 11 inch class fish over the past 5 years.
I still say that Frank Condello's 12.5 incher is the biggest I have seen, and a fish I feel quite sure weighed 2 pounds plus.
Yep, that's a male. A 11.25" HBG has got to weigh between 1.75 and 2 lbs..... I can't recall ever seeing an honest 2 pounder, but the BOW that produced that fish may have a few swimming around in it!
