I never have fly fished there, but I am sure there are times when it would be outstanding. Last year I caught some good fish there on small floating crankbaits. I tried the crankbait/wet fly tailgunner tactic on Friday and got only one fish...on the Rapala crankbait of the tandem rig. These fish were mostly caught on 1/3 of a crawler about 5 feet below a small bobber and wind drifted through slightly deeper areas.
Tons of dink bass may frustrate the fly rod efforts here, but who knows! Got these guys on 2 lb test and they whistled off on long, line peeling runs almost to the center of the pond...great fun!
