Good luck to you....I'm cramming in some fishing before I take a work trip to South Carolina next monrh......It'll be busy from mid April to mid May but I'll squeeze in a few trips down there before the peak fishing begins here in North Carolina when I return........

Wish you were going on my trip too Jeffrey, I can always use some pointers on catching fish and I'm leaving Sunday morning for some BBBBBBBBBBig Gill and Redear territory. THey are supposedly just coming in now and getting ready to spawn. I talked to the biologist today and he said everything is at least three weeks ahead this year due to the warm winter and unusually warm spring we've had here so far.

Its not muddy....just the natural color....for example, when my live well is full you can't see the fish in it.....The dark water hides them even in a small space like that......So many swamps surround these waters,  things are just the color of tea!

YEP I THOUGHT SO! Is the water visibility because of the stain in the water or other things dispersed or suspended in the water?

Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on March 30, 2012 at 5:33pm

Very much so Tooty.......These rivers are DARK...........That's why I like to add a brighter color to my presentations.....I do it just to attract the fish to my live bait offerings.......Visibility is normally less than six inches....

NICE ONE JEFFREY and is that water down there Tanic?  We get some up here that dark but as you can see from my photos they usually are not that dark.
