Thanks Chris, I just couldn't locate many other gills yesterday. Really tough conditions but I never gave up trying! The calendar does say October and that means tougher gilling in Carolina.....

Thanks Dwayne. I was playing around with different baits because the bite was slow, so it was nice to catch a nice gill on the Gulp bait!

This is the best Gill to date for me using the Berkley Gulp 1" Chartreuse Shad minnow. I just threaded it on a long shank number four hook and added a live cricket, kind of a "best of both worlds approach", visual stimulus and the appeal of live bait. I'm looking forward to trying it out in the Spring in my area.

The fish I caught today were very deep in this pond. This fish was about Six feet down in a ten foot pond.
