These guys are still biting so at least I can challenge some Fliers this weekend as the water temperatures continue to drop........

Thanks John and Tooty........let me know if you get down this way John and we'll catch those Fliers for your bucket list.......I'm on it Tooty.....Fliers like the Silent Stingers also! They bite for a while to come even when the water cools.....

Best Flier picture I've ever taken....caught this fish last October....time flies when you stay on the water.....Maybe I can get lucky this month and top this fish......I'll be trying!

I like to dig this picture out ever so often for the new members to see.......the best Flier photo I've ever taken and it just so happened to be a fish in perfect condition...... An isolated member of the Sunfish family but certainly a beautiful one......

Still my favorite Flier picture so far...that addition of the metallic green on this fish is awesome.......

They are definitely worth it if you can find some 7" plus fish.....I've been very fortunate to catch dozens of 8" plus this season......The emerald metallic green where the fins connect to the body on this particular fish is just brilliant.....A great release but I questioned that move for seven months until early last month when I caught a trophy Flier.....relief!

I've caught some Fliers here in OK.  The ones I've caught don't get that big.  I may have to try to find a black-water swamp or bayou (we do have a few, but it's a drive) and go exploring with my kayak.
