Not a Bullhead or Bluegill!!
This was my very first sheephead I have ever caught! I have no idea what it's weight was. It was extremely fun on 5lb power pro line and 5'-6" light action rod!

2lbgill, I remember taking stones out of sheepie heads and making necklaces or bracelets from them as a kid. I still have one in my tackle box, because my dad always said they were good luck!

That's about the average size from that lake, which is infested with them. They're all that golden-brown color too, very unique looking. Nice work, Pat, I bet it put up quite the fight on light gear!

They can put up a tussle. I've caught a few but never that size. Thats a great looking fish (beauty is in the eye of the beholder). Healthy looking one.
I doubt you kept it but let me know if you did.
