Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Heat Waves Also bring out these Guys....This one was over 5 feet!

Seen quite a few of these the last few times out...I got a little spooked from this guy as I was catching a few gills and ended up drifting within ten feet of this Water Moccasin before I realized he was there.....

That's something you really have to watch out for when fishing by them overhanging branches. I use to see lots of them critters when we fish Hickory Lake in N.C. wife always freaks out.

Substitute some bird shot for that split shot and you can take the snake home for dinner, if they're any good to eat :-)

I hit this guy with some big split shot and he still wouldn't move...He was liking that sun! Dan and I were just in the river last week.......Yikes!
