Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

It is going to be submitted as a new catch and release lake record, it would have been a weight record but I couldn't bring my self to killing it

Excellent fish and catching them on Jigs tied by friends here is very cool! Also releasing the fish is very sensible. Congratulation Federico!

How about this super slab that Federico caught on one of Rick Kings creations...huh? We have some great lure makers and tyers here on BBG!

Congrats to both of these guys! Well done, men!

Fredrico thanks for the call telling me you caught a catch and release lake record on my jig. Keep up the good work buddy.

A great crappie, Federico! It's worthy of a replica mount for sure. With the artistic skills of today's taxidermists, and the quality of the replicas, I will probably go that route when I catch my first 2lb. gill.

I did the same thing with my largest Black Crappie.  An 18 incher that I could not kill!  Probably would have been a lake record also! But I was in a float tube too, so it would have been a long kick back in to get it checked.  Great catch Federico!  Beautiful fish!

On what David said, a this fish is worthy of a replica mount. You catch huge panfish and consistently! Impressive

Thanks guys, hopefully it will grow some more. the lake is not known for it's crappie, so I'm sure they will be left alone for a while at least

GGGGGGGreat Crappie Federico and you are the man!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for turning it loose and did a lot of that myself last fall and I felt really good about it too. With the advent of Replica fish I'd be tempted not to mount it, but take lots of pics and have a replica made, EVERYONE WINS THEN INCLUDING THE FISH!!! GREAT JOB AND PIC...
