Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My mother, Dan and I got out on the Little River and filled the monster cooler with nice "Jimmies"

If you really love crab like I do....I eat about 12 in one sitting......We had 150 in this cooler getting ready for a big 4th of July Get together.....They were all consumed by a dozen folks yesterday......

We're only in two to three feet of water in this picture......Crabs are like fire ants.....groups will crawl together based on instinct and you just have to intercept their path for a fun time and good eating!

Once you know crabs are in a body of water James....tie raw chicken legs or fish heads on kite string and toss it in the water on bottom......Once the crab grabs it, pull him in slowly and scoop him with a net.....In North Carolina, crabs must be five inches from point to point on the shell to be a keeper.......50 per person daily limit for recreational crabbing.......Normally May through September is peak season!

WHAT?! Crabs now? What kind of an area you're living that pretty much has everything to sustain a population with all the good stuff?!
