I am one of the guides on Richmond Hill and I can tell you that it is 120 acres and it's full of monsters like this. I catch most of my big ones on a 4 inch jerkbait. But I'm still learning how to catch them consistantly. I'm a bass angler trying to learn more about targeting bluegill.

Here's a link to the Richmond Mill project in North Carolina.

It is producing some huge bass and gigantic bluegill.

Yeah, it's one gnarly lookin' stud male.

I need to figure out that Richmond Mill thing. If I fished 'gills for a day, I might never come back. The bluegill are so big they hit bass lures.

I'll have to check how big Richmond Mill is.

I do know that it is the subject of some very intelligent management efforts. I think it's bigger than a typical "pond" however.
