I've found warmouth just like rock bass are a very aggressive fish at least in lower Michigan and northern Ohio and with there larger mouths quit easy to catch .

Agree Slip........I was in a Southern Virginia creek a few years back in late April and decided to take a lunch break......noticed a lot of activity shallow and proceeded to the spot and it turned out to be a male warmouth giving a 16" bass  a lot of grief for entering his area.....LOL......appeared to be a pod of fry close by and he wasn't having the intruder at all.......

very similar in nature to the Rock Bass... they are very territorial

Thanks guys.....I have always wanted to learn all I can about my passion for pan fishing......Warmouth also choose to build solo nests and not huge colonies like bluegills.........
