I remember BPS used to have a tiny plastic "kitchen sink", that had a split ring on one side and a treble hook on the other.....

one thing about fishing-- YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY WILL HIT!!    years ago  the made a crank bait for bass--  it really looked like a Budweiser can with treble hooks!!  people bought it!!  and the dam thing worked!! it caught fish!!

Good idea Allen. Ive saved a few for that reason. I usually strip them and retie, but a few of the early sad sacks are still in the box.

James, don't "File 13" these!  At least, give them a try.  Who knows, the fish might love them.

That said, a lot of other fly-tiers I know always say, "keep the first flies you tie."  Give yourself a year or so, then pull the first bugs out and compare them to what you tie after you get a lot of practice.  You should see some of my early bugs.....
