It is a beautiful place to fish, John. I caught one little smallie this trip. Earlier in the spring I got a really nice 14" pre-spawn female I posted earlier in the year my best from this stream. I've also seen a couple small spotted bass come from this stream, though I've not personally caught one. This stream flows into the Hocking river a few miles downstream of this spot, and it holds some pretty nice smallies.

Scenery like that is worth even a skunking . Any smallmouths in that creek ? That Bluff and ledge looks like a possible spot to find them.

Thanks Dick and John. This was a trip to Clear Creek in SE Ohio, a gorgeous spot to fish. There's a good portion surrounded by a Metropark, so lots of public access. There's a few spots like this one with some nice hemlock covered cliffs. I haven't caught any big fish, but it's something different and such a nice place to fish.
