Now that is a mess of fish Jeff good job fry them up with your hot sauce recipe and some corn on the cob and a cold beer and its lazy boy time.

Hey Jim good to hear from you and hope you’re doing better now….I’m extremely fortunate to live and fish a large brackish estuary that’s 90% rural…….I actually visited good June bluegill locations from past years and I crossed paths with the crappie without planning to target them on this day……many of the local rivers are less than ten feet deep which aids tremendously in locating these fish year round……..with the spawn over I decided to box my 20 fish limit for a good fry….hope you get to your honey hole soon…

Great mess there Jeffrey.A lakein S IL is the only place i ever catch crappies in any quantity.I missed my trip this spring ending up in the hospital.Some past trips were 100 fish days between 2 of us.I rarely keep a fish by home as they are so heavily pressured and rarely catch more than 2 or 3.I really need to relocate.

With the gills a bit finicky Bruce, why not take advantage of the resource……the bite wasn’t like a spring bite but one or two a tree and I put a mess together…….wish you were with me yesterday…….
