Nope Jim never have tried em brown , but may this year ...... Never thought of brown as a crappie color I spose.....
tooty ya ever try em in brown,maybe with a little pink,i catch a lot of crappies on brown flies for some reason
Sorry Jim this one was caught on a #10 micro , and not a streamer. Sometimes I miss label stuff cause if I make the tails longer on these silents some folk would call em streamers.......
YA KNOW JIM I never even considered that idea that the crappies are pushing out the gills ! You could be right and will have to see this year if I go down there if anyone else thinks that's a possible conclusion ........

nice one ,i think the crappies are pushing the gills out down south tooty.the gills are smaller and the crappies are just every where.used to be just the opposite.black/chartreuse was always my favorite for panfish and smallmouths.
