Mark My man you look ready for battle love the fly rod. I think that's most of my problem I don't take enough stuff with me. Thanks for the ideas.

Not sure what a ELWIVES, but EVERYTHING IS FUN ON a 2Wt.!!!!! It is my TOY of CHOICE!!!!!

"Poor Man's Tarpon" is a slang tern around here for Skipjack Herring.  I've caught several on my 5wt.  They look almost identical to Tarpon, and run and jump like crazy, just like a real Tarpon.

I need to catch a few more.  Skippies also make great cut bait for catfish......

Hi  yes the rod is a blast one of my favorites, that day i was after elwives, i was checkd by a game warden ,when he asked what i was after, i told him and he said he never heard of any one catching elwives with a fly rod, he shook his head then said what do u do with them, I said catch and let them go. i said to him its poor mans tarpon fishing. he left shaking his head. thought you guys would get a kick out of that.Thanks for the replys Sleepy
