Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Second day out. Nearly 80 degrees and found what appears to be a bed. Cant see the bottom but definitely a group of nice copper nose in one spot. The bream were stocked in late Jan 2013 and the bass was in May 2013. Looks like they are doing ok!

Jeffrey, that really does have a nice ring.  You may be on to something!

Maybe next year they will approach the 2lb range.  We are going to start our fertilizer program in 2 weeks, the pond was limed in late September 2013.  Hoping the fish will take off this summer.  I've never caught a bream over 1.5lbs, I am excited to see these babies grow.
