You have no idea how inspirational you have become in my eyes. I knew about your angling history, or at least part of it, before I found this site. It's the unpretentious presentation of yourself that simply motivates my own actions.

I've never looked forward to sharing my own experiences and learning from others as much as I do now. Thank BigBluegill for that.........................which simply says: Thank you Bruce!

Now, what's the forage base that sustains that caliper of fish? We have state stocked wipers in a few waterways locally (along with pure strain stripers) that rely on alewife as a primary forage.

Ahhh. Light line fishing for stripers and wipers (striped bass X white bass hybrids) is an old hobby of mine.

I'm caught ten fish that qualified as National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame world records. A few of them were stripers and wipers.

Here's a picture of a big hybrid I caught on 4 pound test this spring at a local reservoir.

The stories are simple. I just fish on downwind sides of lakes during late April and May and start chunkin' 1/8 to 1/4 ounce bucktails that are custom made by my cousing Craig. It's a blast.

I still love bluegill the best, but wipers and stripers are right there amongst my favorites.

WOW!
Yeah, I had heard you have this thing for stripers - hence the feable attempt at prodding.
I was hoping to hear about this 4lb. line class catch of yours.
