i heard quarries are excellent for growing the big ones... so clear makes it tough to fish though.... good job!!

Jeffrey-it is an old limestone quarry so gravel and solid stone.in other areas they spawn on top of solid stone ledges next to steep dropoffs

that water is over 6ft deep.started with a small popper and switched to a little tung bead jig fly.sz12 barbless hook.heavy enough to get just above the beds but still light enough to strip it slowly without hangup

please view in full size mode,bluegill beds full of fish 6/11.2 days after the full moon.the water is over 6feet deep.caught and released about 40 on flies
