Do you love big bluegill?
Took Rick out on one of his days offf from work to enjoy a little ice fishing success ive been having lately. Fishing was slow and we did end up with a small bag o' fish for a dinner.
Once Rick was tuned into my ice fishing sonar they were inseparable the rest of the afternoon. i think i changed his Ice Fishing game forever ... lol

Thanks Leo...next year i should be better at this ice fishing ...very tough bite the past few days ... they have lowered the reservoir at least 3 ft... that always puts the fish on edge... some of the fisherman in the area just give up on the lake all together during this time. im out too for the good weather, the exercise and the good company when available. i walk out about .4miles and work my way back.today however i had to use a cane to do the walk.I lost 5 lbs total this week of winter fat.
its tough to drill new holes manually through 20+ inches of ice... hopefully ill get an electric auger by next season.so my strategy is to start .4 miles out and work my way back through a series of holes that have remained open or slightly glazed over throughout this warm weather. last weekend was the last big push on the ice before drawdown and fisherman drilled a lot of holes to get their last good fishing in on this particular lake. the bite has been so bad i smile when i catch a 6 inch perch or shiner. lol
looking back its been a good season overall.
Very nice collage of the outing. Can't say the same for the fishes..LOL Spring is here. You guys will do splendidly.
