These beds got raided earlier. Most anglers on boats took them out as the spawning seasons kick in.

Are there fish on them? I was there last week and seen alot of beds but they were all empty :(

JB, the temp at Perris range between 65 to 78 at the surface. There are a few within 30 minutes of your driving distant.

Greg, I wish I could stay past sunset. The parks/lakes in the valley get enforced quite harshly since they dont have manpower to rescue drowning people in the dark. However, lakes in the mountains are a different story, minus Big Bear Lake. This is where my green light comes into full use.

Allen, believe it or not, my ex-major overseeing supplies for Middle East tours does in fact has C4 flies in shapes of wooly buggers. One scary person to fish with, but great to have when you are fishless.

Nice! Didn't see any yet last Sunday at Lake Murray. What's the water temp at Perris now? That's an 80 mile slog from my place and with three kids to wrangle it's dubious if I'd do much fishing myself :p But those beds sure look inviting!

Always a great sight!

C4 fly!!!  ROFL!

Reminds me of the joke where the punch line is:  "Are you gonna fish, or argue??"

LEO, Fish it after sundown, They let there guard down and are more likely to take your offering!!!! If that does't work see4 is the fly to go to!!!!!!

Great shot! The gills here at the city resivor are just now heading to the banks.

Comment by Leo Nguyen on April 26, 2013 at 5:34pm

Sorry Greg. I wish I was the one that out there and took the fabulous shot. James and many others verified that they were all over the place. My method of taken on that flat water is a C4 fly. Quick, efficient, before the unpredictable wind kicks to a gale storm like your end.

Great shot, Leo!!!!! Not sure how to fish with that FLAT WATER!!!!! :-) You will have to show me!!!!!
