Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

42' Pole fishing an Italian canal using bloodworm and finesse fishing tackle - size 24 hooks to 1.5 lb. fishing line, light leaders in the blazing heat. This shot is from practice where the coach wouldn't let me have shade umbrella back until I caught my next fish - 102 degrees...

Johnny got me interested in match angling a few years back.
Really awesome stuff.

Bob Nudd was my hero for a while. :-D

No - this isn't for everybody and it is specialized. I am more with you and people abuse the word ultralight.

We can show them the meaning of ultralight and its ultra power. I tend to add a 1/2 lb. of strength to my line and not go crazy on hooks that can be blown off your hand by wind - but I am certain that 100% of the anglers wouldn't turn away the success and fun they can have with the good stuff.

We are going to have some fun coming up.

Very nice, Must have been a blast. Problem is that this method of match fishing or technique would not be known to 99.9 % of US based Anglers.

Funny, I think the overall trend is going from UL to Micro to Nano.
