Yep.  These guys have it all covered.  I used them alot when I lived out west for trout fishing, which is where my flyfishing roots took hold.  I brought all my stuff back here to Iowa and discovered how unfairly deadly fly fishing is on panfish around here.  Its almost too easy!  Haha.  I should also note, that I only use it when I nymph, or use submersed flies, eggs, shrimp, etc.  The fly above is a large dry fly.  I use it solo, or as a strike indicator of sorts, utilizing the dry/dropper technique in which I will place a nymph or something else small underneath it . Sometimes you can hook 2 fish on 1 line, but on a 2wt with very small line, its difficult.

Thingamabobbers also make great fixed floats when micro fishing 1# test , #28 hook and micro plastics.

Dick, a "Thingamabobber" is a kind of strike indicator.  Two sizes, 1/2" and 3/4".  They are hollow plastic, with a little piece that sticks out that has a hole in it.  You double your leader or tippet, push that loop through the hole, then guide the loop of line over to the other side of the Thingamabobber, then pull the line tight.  They are one of the best strike indicators ever made.  I have some in my vest.....

I have a 2wt TFO 4pc rod.  It travels well with me, and it is an absolute RIOT on panfish.  I thought it was a 3wt, but just double checked.

thats the only way I fish for them.  Either under a Thingamabobber, dry dropper rig, or straight dry.
