Wow what a great collection Tooty! I love old lures, especially Hoola Poppers and Jitterbugs. Growing up my buddy always threw a black Jitterbug, and I threw a frog pattern Hoola Popper. Those were the first lures we bought for bass fishing.

Back around 1960 my granddaddy gave me a Jitter Bug, that was in a tackle box that got stolen many years later. He passed in 1968. I have searched antique shops, and flea markets for another one like it with no luck so far. I know one day I will find another one, and you can bet it will be displayed in my home. It was green with some yellow in it, and had a fish scale pattern on the sides. I have no idea how old it was back then.

Wow!!! That' s a nice collection.  When I was thirteen my uncle and I were fishing a private lake and I had some tangles in my line so I looked for the biggest plug in his tacklebox to tie on, so I could make a long cast to straighten out my line.  It was a jitterbug like the yellow one in the top corner.  I cast it as far as I could throw it right to the middle of the lake,  cranked about five turns and hauled in a bass just over six pounds.  Threw that plug the rest of the day and never got another bite.  My uncle is gone to his reward but I remember that day every time I see one of those plugs.  Thanks so much for sharing this picture.

Nice bit of nostalgia there Tooty. I have a few of each but you are the truly the keeper of the cranks. Great collection.
