I was fortunate as a kid to make it in the local paper a couple times.........one that stands out was a memorable bass fishing trip to Hillcrest lakes on Mardi Gras Day back in the early seventies........my close cousin and I had an amazing trip with live shiners from a canoe ..........we talk about it every time we get together now.............some of our early days being allowed out without our parents.........good memories.......my mom holds all the articles still today.......
